The Answers You Need

Where are you located?

The food pantry is located at 52 Wheeler Rd. in Sugar Grove. We operate in the rear of Engineering Enterprises building.

Where should I park?

Please park in the south lot in the rear of the building.

What do I need to bring with me to register?

You will have to fill out a short form and show proof of residency. Please bring the following items with you:

  1. A photo ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or a consular ID card

  2. A current utility bill or copy of your lease (showing your address), in your name or the name of someone in your household.

*Please note - all clients will need to register annually, starting January 1st. 

You are welcome and encouraged to bring your reusable shopping bags/ containers. 

Will I receive food the day I register?

Yes, you will never leave empty handed.

How often can I receive food?

You may receive food weekly.  We’re open every Thursday from 5:30PM until 7:00PM with the exception of holidays. Please refer to our calendar for holiday hours and holiday meal distribution.

Why do you need my identification?

Proper identification and proof of residency is required to receive service. Please refer to the Who is Eligible page to find out if you live in our service area. If your photo ID has an old address, we will accept the photo ID and a piece of mail (current utility bill) or copy of your lease that shows your name or the name of someone in your household and your address.

What if I don't live in the service area,where can I get help?

There are many food pantries in the area that can help. Please refer to our Area Food Pantries page for locations. Be sure to call and verify their days and hours of operations. 

Why do you want my phone number and email address?

There is rarely an occasion where we will need to call you, however, we would like your contact information such as your phone number and/or your email address in case we need to get important information to you.

Why do you need to know how many adults and children are in my family?

We distribute food based on the number of people living in your home.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes, we never share your information with any other agency or organization.

What time can I show up for food?

Food distribution begins from 5:30PM until 7:00PM on Thursday evenings.  Because we operate in a place of business, please be respectful of the employees and do not enter the property until 5:25PM at the earliest. The parking lot gets crowded and dangerous as employees exit and clients arrive for service. You may be asked to exit the property and return at the appropriate time.

What if I can’t come to pick up food?

If you are unable to pick up food, you can have someone proxy for you. Please contact us for more information.

Why do I sometimes have to wait a long time?

Some days our client load is greater than others and it causes longer waiting periods.  Please be patient and understand we are doing the best we can to help.
